  • EAT 30 DIFFERENT PLANT FOODS

    Pre-Task

    Let's start...

    This first task is slightly different to all the others because you have all week to complete it. You can use this worksheet to record you different foods on. I recommend printing it out and sticking it in a place where you can't miss it - on your fridge or kitchen cupboard for example.

    Gut health is key

    Our diet is the key to feeling good and reaching our potential. A simple way of doing this is by eating a variety of plants. Many of us tend to opt for the same few foods, whether it is because of habit, ease or simply because we haven't got the time or energy to think about it.

    However, it is such a simple thing that we can try straight away that can have a massive impact on the way we feel.

    So, I challenge you to eat 30 DIFFERENT plants this week.

    This includes fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds, beans, grains, herbs and spices. It doesn't have to be bowls of each, just a small sprinkle of seeds, an extra spice thrown in, an extra nut or two...it all counts.

     

    Our guts contain a variety of healthy bacteria and the larger the variety of healthy bacteria we have the better we feel and function. Many of the bacteria in a typical western diet have diminished over time though and it is important we start to rebuild it back up again. A quick and easy way is to eat those 30 different plant foods.
