Wahoo, you are doing brilliantly on this journey and I hope you are enjoying it so far. Have you been going to bed 5 mins earlier each day and saying affirmations each morning? If so, fantastic! If not, don't panic, maybe it is something you could consider?
There are a few challenges today for you to be cracking on with. Hopefully you will feel revitalized and fabulous at the end.
Task 1a: Notice one thing you love about your body
In the bath or shower I would like you to notice one thing that you love about yourself. It doesn’t have to be anything significant, it could be you love the nail on your baby finger, or you love that mole next to your belly button. You must find one thing about your body that you love. Maybe you notice a few things, maybe you notice something about your body that you haven’t actually noticed before, let’s find out!
Tell us what it is. Don't be shy, be proud of that thing!
Task 1b: Turn the shower to cold
I know, that sounds bloomin' horrible doesn’t it? Why would you want to turn that deliciously warm shower to freezing? It is SO good for you. There are lots of benefits of cold water therapy and by turning the shower to cold you will begin to experience these benefits. Check out my blog post from last year that explains why it is so beneficial.
Task 2: Dance to your favourite song
Our bodies are designed to move. We know how good movement and exercise is for us both physically and mentally but sometimes we get bogged down with the idea that exercise has to be an hour long sweaty session in the gym in order to get any benefits. This is simply not true though. Exercise should be fun. Rather than looking at it as something we endure as a punishment for living, we should look at it as a celebration of being able alive!
So today, stick your favourite song on and dance! You can do it alone or get the whole family involved, whatever you like, maybe it’ll turn into a full on party?!
Just have fun and get lost in the moment.
