Task 1: GO OUTSIDE AND BE PRESENT
This is a great tool to use if ever you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed out, nervous, anxious etc.
I would like you to go outside and notice the following:
5 things you can see
4 things you can touch
3 things you can hear
2 things you can smell
1 thing you can taste
See how calm and present you feel after doing that. It’s amazing. You can do it as many times as you like throughout the day. When the kids are yelling and you are ready to pop, walk into a different room and do this. When you are exhausted after a full day at work and your brain is buzzing, go into a different room and do this.
Adding the element of going outside is even more spiritually awakening. To be outside in nature and notice how it is perpetually moving forwards is a really reassuring and grounding experience.
